"No Ordinary Man" Project
You may already have heard that we have 500 copies of the book “No Ordinary Man” which we are using in a special mission programme to help people in rural churches who have a nominal faith but who might never have realised how wonderful Jesus is and recognised their need to welcome him into their lives. The programme is also suitable for those on the margins of the church who are ready to think more about Jesus.
The book contains Luke’s Gospel in the Contemporary English Version beautifully illustrated and interspersed with helpful notes and personal testimonies. Each book also comes with a simple survey to help people reflect upon what they are reading, a personal letter, and a prepaid reply envelope.
We are already receiving survey forms back indicating that the book has made an impact on the readers; personal faith.
Are there people in your church who might benefit from receiving one of these books completely free? To encourage them to read the book and reflect on its contents we are asking volunteers to help us in a national survey on how well Luke’s account in this form achieves what he set out to achieve almost 2000 years ago.
We are looking for rural church leaders to help us make this project effective. You can read more details by downloading this pdf document. We will be happy to send you free of charge either a sample set or multiple copies if you already have people in mind that might read the book and undertake the simple survey.
