Rural Mission Consultation

A special event for rural church leaders was held at Belsey Bridge Conference Centre in Norfolk on Friday 8th October.  Barry Osborne was joined by the Revd Sally Gaze, author of "Mission Shaped and Rural" to lead this event.

Barry stated that there were three potential benefits from such an occasion.  The first is the ability for rural church leaders to meet up with people who are working in similar situations.  This kind of networking has proved extremely helpful.

The second benefit is the opportunity to explore together various mission strategies currently being employed in rural situations.  Between them Barry and Sally led sessions on aspects of rural evangelism.

The third benefit is that it enabled Barry, on behalf of the Rural Evangelism Network to hear what is happening already and what the needs are in the east of Norfolk and Suffolk.

The subsidised cost for the day (including lunch) was just £12.50.  The programme started at 10.00 and will conclude no later than 4.00.
